As stated in the materials section, the excavation projects uncovered numerous headpieces, which were shaped from the skulls of deer. The purpose of the headpieces are unknown, possibly evidence of Mesolithic culture or religion. What was remarkable about these headpieces were how preserved they were, showing how humans in the Mesolithic age were able to preserve their tools. Preservation of these tools have allowed archaelogists to recreate the environment of the era. However, materials have ben rapidly degrading after being excavated.
